Medical Clinic Supports Healthy Minds & Bodies
Health & Wellness Center
All youth at CHNY are provided with access to comprehensive medical care at CHNY’s on-site, full-service Health and Wellness Center. The Health and Wellness Center has received Federal Healthcare for the Homeless (section 330h of the Public Health Services Act) funding for over 20 years and is a Federally-Qualified Health Clinic. Services are offered at no cost or on a sliding-scale basis to anyone regardless of age, socio-economic status, race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, physical ability, or language. Services include pediatric and adult primary care, gynecological care, pre- and post-natal care, STD and HIV screening, mental health care, case management, health education, drug awareness and education, and substance abuse assessments. The Health and Wellness Center provides referrals to partner health providers for substance abuse treatment, severe and persistent mental health support, dental and vision services, and other specialized care as appropriate. The Health and Wellness Center aims to increase awareness of and address the health needs of youth, as well as encourage youth to develop and practice healthy living habits and prevention skills. Proudly, our Health and Wellness Center is also open to the community serving the health needs of local residents.
