Covenant House. Take Notice. It's time to take on youth homelessness.

 COVENANT HOUSE
 NEW YORK

For too long, we as a city have ignored the problem of youth homelessness, hoped it would go away on its own, or simply looked the other way. No more.

For too long, we as a city have ignored the problem of youth homelessness, hoped it would go away on its own, or simply looked the other way. No more.

Covenant House New York is embarking on its most ambitious campaign to date. We’re raising $128 million to construct a new residential facility in the heart of Manhattan. This new building is so much more than a shelter. It’s a purpose-built facility that’s designed from the ground up to get youth facing homelessness in our city back on their feet and on the path to independence.

With this campaign, we’re challenging New Yorkers to stare this problem in the face—to Take Notice and take action.

We hope you’ll join us.

WHY NOW?

WHY NOW?

We can no longer ignore the crisis that faces our city’s youth.

YOUTH EXPERIENCE HOMELESSNESS

We can no longer ignore the crisis that faces our city’s youth.

Once someone ends up on the streets, every hour that ticks by is critical. Our new facility has been engineered to mitigate this crisis and address their most immediate needs.

From the moment a young person walks through our door, we begin working to help them feel safe and stabilized—that includes providing a bed, a shower, a hot meal, medical care, and more.

Once the initial crisis is mitigated, our professional staff of social workers, case managers, floor advisors, doctors, lawyers, educators, and job counselors can begin working collaboratively to get our youth on a path to long-term independence.

THE BUILDING

With a new building in reach, we’re putting all the experience and learning we’ve gained over 45 years into action.

THE BUILDING

With a new building in reach, we’re putting all the experience and learning we’ve gained over 45 years into action.

We’ll have the capacity to work with over 120 young people at a time, and over 1,900 annually. Additionally, six floors of program spaces will provide a range of personalized wraparound services including healthcare, outreach, legal services, life skills development, recreation, and youth guidance programs.

We’ll also be expanding our employment training and education services to provide more access to counseling, class, and specialized training.

By putting all these services under one roof, we'll be able to maximize our effectiveness, affect more change, and transform more lives.

 NEW YORK'S YOUTH
 ARE OUR YOUTH

We’d like you to meet some of the amazing personalities that keep us motivated to keep going.

They have hopes and ambitions. They’re talented, resilient, and inspiring. They may be homeless, but that’s not who they are.

Covenant House New York’s central location near Port Authority Bus Terminal makes it optimally suited give these youth a helping hand—and a second chance. We owe it to them. Because a great city doesn’t leave its most vulnerable citizens behind.
