On May 20, eight young people from CHNY graduated from Delta’s Career Readiness Program. In January, Delta employees began mentoring young adults in workforce preparedness, focusing on basic workplace and interviewing skills. Over the last several months, youth have learned various skills necessary for finding and obtaining employment.
In 2017, Delta initiated the Career Readiness Program with Covenant House Georgia, exposing young people experiencing homelessness to career opportunities while cultivating a solid professional foundation for successful futures. Because of the program’s ongoing success in Georgia, Delta has expanded the program to CHNY with the goal of providing a supportive and positive learning experience for young people preparing for employment opportunities — for successful careers at Delta and beyond.
